2020 Myer VRC Millinery Award Winner

Stephanie's ballet shoe headpiece were a nod to the surrealism of 2020. Up was down, down seemed to up, so it was decided that shoes would become hats.

The pair were blocked in parisisal, lined in parisisal, bound in silk and had a separately blocked straw inner and suede leather outer sole. Stephanie played both milliner and cobbler as the piece tested her patience and occupied her time over months of lockdown.
